Job summary

Smart Education is seeking a Tutor to work on a contract basis in Dudley. The role involves 1:1 sessions in home or residential settings, developing personalised learning plans and re-engagement strategies for students outside mainstream education.

You should hold QTS/QTLS/PGCE or substantial tutoring experience in English, Maths and/or Science, with SEN/SEMH exposure and an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science
• SEN/SEMH experience is desirable
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one is required

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with students in a home or residential setting (including LAC environments)
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students out of mainstream education and support with re-engagement in education
• Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of backgrounds and learning needs using a creative and versatile teaching style
