Job summary

Smart Education are recruiting for a Tutor to work in Worcester. The role is a contract position with flexible hours, paying £26.62 hourly. You will deliver 1:1 tutoring and develop personalised learning strategies to re-engage students in education.

Requirements include QTS/QTLS/PGCE (or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths or Science) and SEN/SEMH experience. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified with QTS/QTLS/PGCE or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, or Science.
• Experience supporting children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH).
• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with students in a home or residential setting (including LAC environments)
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students out of mainstream education and support with re-engagement in education
• Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of backgrounds and learning needs using a creative and versatile teaching style
