Job summary

Smart Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in Dudley. The role involves supporting students 2:1 in a home or residential setting and developing personalised learning strategies to re-engage learners.

You will adapt teaching approaches to diverse backgrounds and needs, using creativity and versatility. The position offers flexible hours and ongoing CPD training through the agency.

Qualifications

• Professional TA qualifications, subject specialism, or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Experience working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH).
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Working 2:1 with students in a home or residential setting (including LAC environments).
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students out of mainstream education and support with re-engagement in education.
• Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of backgrounds and learning needs using a creative and versatile teaching style.
