Job summary

Smart Education is seeking a Tutor for flexible, contract work in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The role involves 1:1 tutoring in home or residential settings (including LAC environments), and developing personalised learning strategies for students out of mainstream education.

The ideal candidate will have QTS/QTLS/PGCE or tutoring experience in English, Maths, or Science, plus SEN/SEMH experience. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) is required. Hours are flexible and planning time is paid.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS/PGCE or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Experience working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH).
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of backgrounds and learning needs using a creative and versatile teaching style.
