Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Liverpool is seeking a Tutor (Part Time) to deliver 1:1 tuition for students unable to attend mainstream education. You will support pupils with SEND needs and deliver Maths and English sessions up to GCSE level in flexible settings such as homes, libraries, or schools.

Sessions range from 1-5 hours per day, 2-5 days per week, with long-term placements to provide consistency. The role offers competitive PAYE rates and a flexible schedule to work with social workers

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with SEND experience
• Proficient delivering Maths and English sessions
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills

About the Role

• Deliver 1:1 tuition for students unable to attend mainstream education
• Support pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Deliver Maths and English sessions up to GCSE level
• Sessions range from 1-5 hours per day, from 2 to 5 days per week
• Flexible working across different settings, including students' homes, libraries, or school sites
• Long-term placements to provide consistency and structure for students
• Work alongside social workers, SEN teams, and other professionals to support and feedback on student progress

Requirements

• Teaching qualification (e.g QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent)
• Experience working with SEND students
• Confident delivering Maths and English
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Passion for supporting young people
