Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), considered one of the most modern in Europe; the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), known for innovative technologies; and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany.

In internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain. Your tasks include developing maximum performance and efficiency in combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. You will perform development measures during the concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission
  1. Development of combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
  2. Thermodynamic development of the internal combustion engine, including flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
  3. Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reports
  4. Correlate simulation results with measurement data from engine testing
  5. Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
  1. Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or equivalent
  2. Several years of experience in internal combustion development and 3D CFD simulation
  3. Knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains
  4. Experience with data handling from testbenches
  5. Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
  6. Independent and precise work ethic
  7. Proficiency in German or English, and willingness to learn the other language
