Our Team

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The team has three locations: Neuburg (Germany), Hinwil (Switzerland), and the UK, where our Motorsport Technical Center is located.

Position Overview

The position is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany. You will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance engine, focusing on maximizing performance and efficiency while ensuring reliability. Your responsibilities include development measures during concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop combustion processes and gas-exchange via 3D CFD simulations
• Perform thermodynamic development of the engine's gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulations of intake & exhaust systems
• Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper documentation
• Correlate simulation data with measurement data from engine tests and test benches
• Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and data correlation

Candidate Profile

• Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields (Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
• Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development and 3D CFD simulation
• Strong knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tools
• Experience with testbench data handling
• Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and a responsible work ethic
• Independent and precise working style
• Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language is a plus
