Job Description:

Join the Audi F1 Project, which begins competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. Our team operates across three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's F1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK. The Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

We seek individuals with an athlete's mindset—resilient, determined, and driven to overcome limits—to contribute to this historic motorsport endeavor. The position is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop combustion processes and gas-exchange using 3D CFD simulations
  • Conduct thermodynamic development of engine gas-exchange, combustion phases, and flow simulations of intake & exhaust systems
  • Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reporting
  • Correlate simulation data with engine operation and testbench measurements
  • Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile:
  • Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields (Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
  • Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development and 3D CFD simulation
  • Strong knowledge of engine technology and virtual development toolchains
  • Experience with testbench data handling
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
  • Independent, precise working style
  • Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language
