Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), one of the most modern in Europe; the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), known for innovative technologies; and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit is from Neuburg, while Hinwil handles chassis development and race operations.

The position will be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

In internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain. Your tasks include developing maximum performance and efficiency of the engine, focusing on combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. You will perform development measures during concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission

• Develop combustion process and gas exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
• Conduct thermodynamic development and flow simulations of intake & exhaust systems
• Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reports
• Create correlations with measurement data from engine tests
• Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and data correlation

Your Profile

• Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields
• Several years of experience in internal combustion development and 3D CFD simulation
• Broad engine technology knowledge and expertise in virtual development tools
• Experience with testbench data handling
• Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
• Independent, precise working style
• Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language
