Job Description:

Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), one of the most modern in Europe; the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), known for innovative technologies; and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations.

What you need? The mindset of an athlete. If giving up isn’t an option and limits are just something to be overcome, you can bring "Vorsprung durch Technik" to Formula 1 with us. Join this unique project and make motorsport history.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

In internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain. Your tasks include developing maximum engine performance and efficiency in areas like combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. You will perform development measures during the concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission
  • Develop combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
  • Carry out thermodynamic development of engine gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
  • Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reports
  • Correlate measurement data from engine operation and testbenches
  • Improve processes and workflow for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
  • Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics (Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
  • Several years of experience in internal combustion development (3D CFD simulation)
  • Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains
  • Experience with testbench data handling
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
  • Independent and precise work practices
  • Proficiency in German or English, with willingness to learn the other language
