Job Description

Join the Audi F1 Project, competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. Our team operates across three locations: Neuburg (Germany), Hinwil (Switzerland), and the UK. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

We seek a passionate engineer to work on internal combustion engine development, focusing on combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability. Responsibilities include development measures during concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission

• Develop combustion process and gas exchange via 3D CFD simulations
• Conduct thermodynamic development of engine gas exchange, combustion phases, and flow simulations of intake & exhaust systems
• Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reporting
• Correlate simulation data with engine and test bench measurements
• Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and data correlation

Your Profile

• Technical degree in mechanical, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields (Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
• Several years of experience in internal combustion development and 3D CFD simulation
• Knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains
• Experience with testbench data handling
• Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
• Independent, precise working style
• Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language
