Our team welcomes you to the Audi F1 Project, where Audi will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis development and race operations.

We are looking for a Turbocharger Development Engineer specializing in CFD Simulation to join Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany. The role involves working on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain, aiming to optimize engine performance and efficiency while ensuring reliability. Responsibilities include development measures during concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission
  • Development of combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
  • Thermodynamic development of the engine's gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
  • Planning, performing, and evaluating 3D CFD simulations with proper reporting
  • Correlating simulation data with measurement data from engine tests and testbenches
  • Improving workflows and toolchains for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
  • Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields (Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
  • Several years of professional experience in internal combustion engine development and 3D CFD simulation
  • Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development toolchains
  • Experience handling data from testbenches
  • Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
  • Independent and precise working practices
  • Proficiency in German or English, with willingness to learn the other language
