Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), known for being one of the most modern in Europe; the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), recognized for its innovative technologies; and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis development and race operations.

Position Location:

Audi Formula Racing GmbH, Neuburg, Germany

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations.
• Conduct thermodynamic development of the engine's gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake and exhaust systems.
• Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reports.
• Create correlations with measurement data from engine tests and testbenches.
• Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and test data correlation.

Candidate Profile:

• Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields.
• Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development, specifically 3D CFD simulation.
• Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains.
• Experience with data handling from testbenches.
• Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility.
• Independent and precise working practices.
• Proficiency in German or English, with willingness to learn the other language.
