Job summary

Bassetlaw District Council is seeking a dedicated Triage and Accommodation Officer in the Housing Solutions Team. You will be the first point of contact for residents needing housing assistance, offering guidance, information and practical support to those homeless or at risk of homelessness.

You will coordinate temporary accommodation placements and contribute to effective housing solutions across the district, while learning about housing legislation and statutory guidance in a supportive team

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, homelessness or tenancy services is welcome but not essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to listen, gather information and identify solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessments and advice to residents seeking housing assistance.
• Coordinate and manage temporary accommodation placements.
• Support residents facing homelessness to access housing solutions across the district.
