Gecko Travel Recruitment are working with a specialist tour operator who are recruiting an Africa Travel Consultant to join their team.

The Role

As Africa Travel Consultant, you will handle inbound enquiries, design bespoke long-haul itineraries, and provide expert destination guidance across key regions across Africa.

You will take ownership of the sales process from initial contact through to post-booking care, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

The role also includes supporting the growth of emerging destinations, contributing to product development discussions, collaborating with internal teams, and attending relevant supplier events and training sessions to stay up to date with market developments.

You Will Have
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in tailor-made travel sales
  • First-hand travel experience in Africa
  • Proven sales ability with excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organised, proactive, and positive approach
  • Opportunity to support and mentor junior team members
  • Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and CRM systems
  • Genuine commitment to outstanding customer service
