Job summary

Esland’s Lily Lodge in Brierfield (Burnley) is recruiting a full-time Children’s Support Worker to join a dedicated residential team. You will build nurturing relationships with young people aged 8–18, support emotional regulation and daily routines, and maintain safeguarding records.

The role features 48-hour shifts with paid sleep-ins and a 4-day break. The salary ranges from £33,682 to £34,305 per year, with enhanced pay for overtime and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience within care, education, mental health support and/or youth activities is desirable.
• Ability to build nurturing, trusting relationships with young people.
• Empathy, resilience and person-centred approach to childcare.

Responsibilities

• Support your young person with emotional regulation, daily routines and personal development
• Keep detailed records and promote safeguarding at all times
• Support activities, education access, and household responsibilities
• Work 48-hour shifts, including sleep-ins (paid), followed by a 4-day break
