Job summary

The Esland Group Ltd is hiring a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Barnsley. You will join a therapeutic, trauma-informed care team, building trusting relationships with young people aged 8 to 18 and supporting their daily routines, education access and activities.

The role requires 48-hour shifts with paid sleep-ins and a 4-day break, with a salary based on qualifications. A comprehensive induction, training and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in care, education, mental health support or youth activities is desirable.
• A therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support the young person with emotional regulation, daily routines and personal development.
• Keep detailed records and promote safeguarding at all times.
• Support activities, education access and the young person’s personal interests.
• Commit to 48-hour shifts including paid sleep-ins, with a 4-day break.
