Job summary

Esland in Barnsley is seeking a full-time children’s support worker to join our dedicated team. You’ll build nurturing, trusting relationships with young people aged 8 to 18 and support their emotional regulation, routines and personal development.

You’ll work a 48-hour shift pattern with paid sleep-ins, 365 service, overtime on offer. Applicants must have a UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK, with a therapeutic, person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in care, education or mental health support is desirable.
• UK driving licence is required.
• Right to work in the UK is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support your young person with emotional regulation, routines and personal development.
• Keep detailed records and uphold safeguarding at all times.
• Support activities, education access and household responsibilities; promote engagement.
