Job summary

SENse Learning is recruiting SEND Tutors to deliver one-to-one support for children and young people with SEND and SEMH in homes, online and in the community across the UK.

Roles are flexible, with in-person, hybrid and work-from-home options, and you’ll plan personalised lessons, build trauma-informed approaches, and report progress. Applicants should have QTS and 2+ years post-NQT experience, DBS enhanced, and be based in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years post-NQT teaching with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD/PMLD preferred.
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Approach: child-centred, holistic and trauma-informed teaching.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Location: UK-based with right to work in the UK, including remote/online work.
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with a range of SEND/SEMH needs.
• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed lessons tailored to EHCPs and risk assessments.
• Report student progress and provide regular feedback to parents, carers or schools.
