Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking SEND Tutors to provide one-to-one support for students with SEND, working across specialisms as Specialist Teacher, Intervention Tutor, and SEND Teacher. Roles are ongoing and flexible in-person, hybrid, and remote options.

Applicants should have QTS/QTLS, 2+ years post-NQT teaching experience with SEND/SEMH, and a commitment to trauma-informed practice. Enhanced DBS and references are required; the role is self-employed with flexible hours in the UK.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• QTS / QTLS required.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references required for compliance.
• UK-based with right to work in the UK, even for remote/online roles.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring tailored to EHCP and risk assessments.
• Plan lessons and report on progress; provide regular feedback to parents and schools.
• Support pupils across KS1–KS5 as appropriate for your skills.
