Job summary

Taff Housing Association is seeking a caring and compassionate Support Officer to join Ty Seren in Cardiff. You will help residents build independence by providing tailored support, fostering resilience, and promoting independent living skills in a psychologically informed environment.

You'll work with residents to set goals, run workshops, and support safeguarding and welfare, while using your knowledge of Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.

Qualifications

• Understanding of working with people with support needs.
• Good working knowledge of Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
• Ability to run workshops to increase independence and wellbeing.
• Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to Ty Seren residents to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Promote independent living skills and move-on to independent accommodation.
