Job summary

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a proactive Highways & Transport Systems Development & Data Engineer to lead delivery of transport technology, data and infra projects. You will oversee real-time passenger information, smart ticketing, and data platforms while supporting home-to-school transport and accessibility improvements.

Qualifications

Experience delivering projects in transport, infrastructure, technical or digital environments.
Strong understanding of technology systems, data analysis or digital service delivery.
Confident project management with budgets, suppliers and contracts.

Responsibilities

Lead development and delivery of systems such as real-time passenger information and smart ticketing.
Support home-to-school transport systems and related technologies.
Manage public transport infrastructure projects including shelters and accessibility upgrades.
Manage project budgets, suppliers, contracts and system performance.
Prepare business cases and reports to support investments.
