Job summary

XPO is recruiting a Transport Supervisor for its Crick site. You will coordinate transport operations on site and at customer premises, ensuring safety compliance and timely reporting of defects, while maintaining strong communication with customers and drivers.

The role emphasizes improving service delivery, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with stakeholders to meet ambitious transport goals at a growing site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transport operations on site and at customer premises to meet expectations.
• Work closely with onsite customer to ensure operational requirements are met.
• Maintain a health and safety presence on site and challenge noncompliance.
• Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned promptly.
• Ensure drivers comply with the working time directive and that accidents/ incidents are investigated promptly.
• Suggest service improvements and recommendations as necessary.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
• Work closely with the onsite customer ensuring all operational requirements are met.
• Maintain a health and safety presence on site and challenge noncompliance.
• Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner
• Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
• Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Have a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
• Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
