Job summary

XPO is hiring a Transport CoOrdinator at our Scunthorpe site to manage day-to-day transport planning and customer/haulier liaison. You’ll develop cost effective haulage plans, maintain safety standards, and deliver service with a team-driven approach.

We value strong communication, knowledge of UK geography, and proficiency with Excel and Outlook to monitor operations and respond quickly to changing requirements.

Qualifications

• Understanding of transport planning and industry standards.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a cost-sensitive environment.
• Knowledge of UK geography and transport software.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary contact point for customers and haulier partners.
• Create cost effective haulage plans in line with SLAs.
• Ensure safety, service and savings targets are met.
• Maintain communication of planning changes with customers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve issues and support operations.
• Adapt to dynamic live environment and fluctuating demands.
• Utilise transport planning systems and keep housekeeping standards.
