The Transport Services Operational Manager (TSOM) is a dynamic role operating across all Trust Sites and services within UCLH. As the TSOM, you will lead three distinct teams: our patient transport service for local and national patients, our Pharmacy and CSSD delivery and distribution service, and our front-of-house interface between patients/visitors and the Patient Transport and Disabled Parking Services.
The successful candidate must be an articulate and effective communicator, capable of managing multiple teams and liaising with clinical, non-clinical, internal, and external stakeholders. They should demonstrate high attention to detail, motivate teams, and ensure compliance with NHSE eligibility criteria. Regular performance reviews, collaboration with contracted providers, and adherence to financial and governance standards are essential.
The role also involves managing the logistics fleet, supporting business continuity, and improving internal processes. The TSOM will oversee service performance, KPIs, and incident management, contributing to the trust’s mission of delivering top-quality patient care, education, and research.
