GXO Logistics, Inc. at the Sainsbury's site in Bedford is seeking a Transport Clerk to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

• Investigate delivery issues and support corrective actions to reduce service failures.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and compliance documentation.

We are looking for an organised and relaible team player to support our transport operations and help keep everything running smoothly.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering stability and the opportunity to dvelop your skills. You'll work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, covering the hours between 18:00 - 06:00, giving you a consistent work schedule.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Coordinate daily delivery schedules and communicate updates with drivers, depot teams and customers
• Provide excellent customer service by handling delivery queries, resolving issues, and supporting a positive customer journey
• Monitor transport and delivery performance, including on-time deliveries, failed drops and KPI reporting
• Investigate delivery issues, identify process improvements, and support corrective actions to reduce service failures
• Maintain accurate administrative records, compliance documentation, report, and transport- related system updates

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in transport / warehouse administration or customer service environments would be advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers, customers, and colleagues
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and remain calm under pressure
• Confident using Microsoft Office and transport/ logistics systems to manage data and reporting
