GXO Logistics, Inc. at the Sainsbury's site in Northampton is seeking a proactive Transport Administrator to keep transport operations running smoothly and support a busy team.

This full-time, permanent role follows a 3 on, 3 off shift pattern covering 18:00–06:00. The position offers an hourly rate of £30.395, a £4,000 night shift allowance per year, and benefits including annual leave and access to the Hapi App platform.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport administration or logistics preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in records.
• Proficient with Excel and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out administration to support vehicle and driver movements.
• Book in drivers and vehicles into the depot.
• Assist with accuracy of WMS and transport systems.
• Track movement of vehicles and related activity.
• Perform tasks aligned with company requirements and service agreements.

We are looking for a proctive and organised Transport Administrator to keep our transport operations running smoothly and support a busy team at our GXO - Sainsbury's site in Northampton.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a a 3 on, 3 off shift pattern covering hours between 18:00 - 06:00.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Carry out required administration to support vehicle and driver movements
• Book in all drivers/ vehicles into the depot
• Assist in administering the integrity and accuracy of WMS and other transport systems
• Track and administer the movement of vehicles and associated activity
• Undertake activities in line with company’s requirements and service agreements

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previously working in an administrator role, preferably in transport/ warehouse environment
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Understanding of Drivers Working Time Directive and EU Regulations
• Strong administration skills with high attention to detail
• Using Microsoft Office applications, particulary Excel
