Job summary

GXO Logistics is hiring a Transport Administrator to join the Sainsbury's site in Charlton, Thameside. The role is permanent and operates on a night shift from 18:00 to 06:00, on a rota basis.

Responsibilities include coordinating vehicle movements and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate has prior admin experience in transport or warehouse settings, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

• Administer movements of vehicles and keep records up to date.
• Experience in transport/warehouse admin is preferred.
• Knowledge of Driver's Working Time Directive and EU regulations is beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

• Administer the movements of vehicles on a timely and accurate basis.

Here at GXO Logistics, we are currently looking for a Transport Administrato to join our team at Sainsbury's, one of the largest supermarket chains in the UK at our site in Charlton, Thameside.

This is a full- time, permanent vacancy.

You will be working on a rota basis, covering night shift, 18:00 - 06:00.

Working days on week 1 are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Working days on week 2 are Monday, Thursday and Friday.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Administer the movements of vehicles on a timely and accurate manner
• Monitor vehicle maintenance details to ensure legal compliance
• Coordinate and support repair and maintenance of the vehicles
• Undertake activities in line with company’s requirements and service agreements

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previously working in an administrator role, preferably in transport/ warehouse environment
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Understanding of Drivers Working Time Directive and EU Regulations
• Strong administration skills with high attention to detail
• Using Microsoft Office applications, particulary Excel
