Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Transport Shift Manager to lead a busy transport operation supporting the Greene King contract. You will manage a team of drivers, transport clerks and operations colleagues to deliver safe, efficient and on-time deliveries.

The role is full-time, five days from seven, with shifts 05:00–13:00 or 10:00–18:00, and some Saturdays. You will develop people, coach performance, monitor KPIs, ensure Driver Hours Regulations and Operator

• Strong knowledge of transport legislation, Driver Hours Regulations and Operator Licence compliance.

Join GXO as a Transport Shift Manager and take ownership of a busy transport operation supporting the Greene King contract. Leading a team of drivers, transport clerks and operational colleagues, you'll ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced transport professional who enjoys developing people, managing performance and making a real impact within a fast-paced logistics environment.

This is a full-time permanent position working any 5 days from 7' with working hours of: 05:00 -13:00 and 10:00 -18:00. There will be a requirement to work on some Saturdays.

What you'll do on a typical day:

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience managing transport operations within a fast-paced logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation, Driver Hours Regulations and Operator Licence compliance
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and engage teams
• A proactive approach to problem solving, customer service and continuous improvement
• International CPC qualification, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent transport management experience
