Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for designated services and ensure safe day-to-day running.
• Lead transformation and improvement projects across the Directorate.
• Support performance delivery, including RTT, Diagnostics and Cancer targets.
• Contribute to emergency care pathways within relevant specialties.
• Maintain oversight of budgets and support financial planning and cost-improvement initiatives.
• Develop business cases and service development proposals.
• Provide line management and staff development.
• Represent the Directorate at internal and external meetings, deputising for senior managers when required.
