About the role

As a Transfers Technical Manager, you will be responsible for delivering good technical, regulatory, client and colleague outcomes around Pensions/ISAs/General Investment Accounts through analysis, root cause, training, control testing, relationship management, change and risk management activities. Additionally, you will be a role model for our HL values, driving positive outcomes for clients, colleagues and the business.

What you'll be doing
  • Have an in depth understanding of relevant regulation and the risk and control framework and escalates risks, issues and trends.
  • Communicate messages regarding regulations and updates through a variety of channels to the wider function
  • Liaise with process owners across the Service function and the wider business to ensure end to end transfer processes and controls are designed and documented effectively
  • Collaborate proactively and build relationships with Service teams and the wider business; performs horizon scanning and impact assessments and takes ownership for overseeing the documentation of processes, risks and controls across the function
  • Develop and maintain a communication framework for all technical, regulatory, and procedural changes to ensure that all teams are aware of changes, updates and requirements specific to their roles
  • Working closely with L&OD and other internal customers to ensure technical messages are communicated using the most effective channels in an efficient manner

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey points to different audiences and facilitate group discussions

Interview process

This will be a two-stage interview process, consisting of competency and behavioural based questions and a task.

Working Schedule

The role is based in our Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern.
