Job summary

Powys County Council in Wales is seeking a Training Officer for Organisation Design and Development to support the HR Management and Development leadership and the People Strategy. You will help improve workforce performance through engaging learning activities and digital content.

You will deliver training across services, both face to face and digitally, and work with partner organisations on joint training initiatives, translating learning needs into practical programmes and materials.

• Experience in leadership and management.
• Passionate about teaching, learning and developing individuals’ skills.
• Proactive, tech-savvy and able to translate learning needs into engaging digital content.
• Confident leading groups in person.

About the role: To support the Professional Lead Human Resources Management and Development, Senior Officers and the Organisation Design and Development team to achieve the objectives within the People Strategy to aid with supporting and maximising the performance and effectiveness of the workforce.

About you: You will have experience, ideally in leadership and management, that you can draw from in your delivery of engaging learning activities. You are enthusiastic and passionate about teaching, learning and developing individuals’ skills through a range of training programmes and interventions. You are a proactive, tech-savvy individual who can translate learning needs into engaging digital content. Additionally, you are confident leading groups in person.
