A community-focused social enterprise in Belfast is seeking a trainer to deliver horticulture training while managing the Market Garden. The role involves overseeing production, supporting marginalized youth, and ensuring accredited training. Ideal candidates will have qualifications in horticulture, experience in training delivery, and the ability to foster employability skills in young people. This permanent position offers 35 hours per week and a salary of £25,500 per annum.
The role will primarily be to provide support the delivery of the Ravine Training and Work Experience Programme with a focus on horticulture. Based at our South Belfast Nature Reserve this includes supporting participants to achieve accredited qualifications, learn practical horticultural skills and develop valuable employability skills alongside overseeing the productive growing spaces within the Ravine Market Garden. The postholder will also play a key role in delivering the horticultural aspects of The Advantage Foundations social enterprise activities delivering both community benefit and real-world work experience opportunities for trainees.
