Job summary

Chapeltown Citizens Advice seeks a Training and Development Manager to lead staff and volunteer training across a fast-paced charity setting in Leeds. You will drive training plans, onboarding, and personal development, working with two Advice first aid trainers and local VCSE partners.

You will be part of the Management Leadership Team, shaping learning across the organisation, ensuring accreditation compliance and using client feedback to improve services.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver advice first aid training for local VCSE organisations with two trainers (1.4 fte).
• Support with new project mobilisation.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers and develop training plans with line managers.
• Support line managers with identified development needs.
• Use insights from advice trends and client feedback to design focused training across delivery methods.
• Help the organisation comply with accreditation requirements (AQS, SQM, QAA) and ensure CPD is completed.

Based in an inner city multi-racial area of Leeds, Chapeltown Citizens Advice is an independent charity with 20 paid staff and 35 volunteers that provides a comprehensive advice service from its main office and outreaches. We have a vacancy for the following:

Training and Development manager

Key responsibilities within this role will include:

• Along with two Advice first aid / community advice trainers (1.4 fte) work with local infrastructure organisations to create and deliver advice first aid training for local VCSE organisations
• Support with new project mobilisation
• Lead recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers into the organisation & developing training plans alongside line managers
• Supporting line managers and teams with identified areas of development required
• Use key insights (advice trends, client feedback etc) to create and deliver focused training across a range of delivery methods to ensure accessibility
• Support the organisation to comply with accreditation requirements (AQS, SQM, QAA and others), ensuring all CPD requirements are met and mandatory training is completed

You will be part of the Management Leadership Team along with two other managers responsible for their areas of advice and support delivery.
