Job summary

SP Energy Networks, part of the ScottishPower Group, is recruiting a Trainee Site Manager to join across multiple sites in Central and Southern Scotland. The two-year programme combines on-site learning with shadowing, coaching, and mentoring to achieve the CIOB Certificate and Diploma in Site Management.

Successful candidates will progressively lead planning and contractor coordination on-site. The role develops strong safety culture, interfaces with engineers, and aims to move into a permanent

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience within Energy, Construction or Utilities
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement
• Excellent communication skills
• Health and Safety knowledge
• Valid UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Observe, progressively participate and eventually lead planning, coordinating and monitoring contractor activities on-site
• Maintain a robust safety culture and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards
• Oversee the Construction and Commissioning stages of projects
• Manage design change processes with engineering teams
• Interface with operational colleagues such as protection engineers and Senior Authorised Person(s)
