Job summary

SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola Group, is recruiting a Trainee Site Manager in Scotland. The role combines hands-on site work with shadowing, coaching and mentoring, with progression toward a CIOB Certificate and Diploma in Site Management.

The programme runs 18–24 months, with a pathway to a permanent Site Manager role on completion. Salary around £38,760 plus extensive benefits and a UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience within Energy, Construction or Utilities.
• Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Construction Management.

Responsibilities

• Observe, participate, and eventually lead planning, coordinating, and monitoring contractor activities on-site.
• Maintain a robust safety culture and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Oversee Construction and Commissioning stages of projects.
• Manage design change processes with engineering teams.
