Job summary

SP Energy Networks is offering a Trainee Site Manager position in the 132kV Projects Delivery Team. The role combines on‑the‑job learning with shadowing, coaching and mentoring as you progress toward a CIOB Certificate and Diploma in Site Management.

You will observe, then lead on-site planning, coordination and monitoring of contractor activities, while developing safety awareness and collaborative skills across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or leadership experience in energy, construction or utilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Prior Health and Safety knowledge and a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Observe, participate in, and eventually lead planning, coordinating and monitoring contractor activities on-site.
• Maintain safety, environmental and quality standards, including inspections and progress records.
• Oversee construction and commissioning stages of projects.
• Manage design change processes with engineering teams.
