Job summary

SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola Group, is seeking a Trainee Site Manager in Scotland. You will learn on the job, shadowing managers across Overhead Lines, Substations, Cable Networks, Civils, and Electrical Installations while working toward the CIOB Site Management certificate and diploma.

The program runs 18–24 months, with the goal of moving into a permanent Site Manager role coordinating large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects on SP Transmission’s path to Net Zero energy.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience within Energy, Construction or Utilities.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Prior Health and Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Observe, progressively participate and eventually lead planning, coordinating, and monitoring contractor activities on-site as you develop.
• Maintaining a robust safety culture ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Oversee the Construction and Commissioning stages of projects.
