North Warwickshire Citizens Advice Bureau is seeking a Trainee Community Energy Advisor to support energy projects and outreach across the NWCA service area. You will gain Citizens Advice Energy Training and help clients with energy costs, billing, and energy efficiency, contributing to fuel poverty initiatives.

The role emphasises engaging with vulnerable clients, prioritising accurate advice, and developing across energy-related issues while working within a friendly, supportive team

Qualifikationen

• Ideally you will have some experience of giving advice or support, and of working with vulnerable clients.
• You will be committed to excellent client care, highly organised and self-motivated, able to maintain high advice quality standards.

Aufgaben

• Interview and support clients using sensitive listening and questioning to understand problems and empower priorities.
• Advise clients on energy costs, billing methods, arrears, and ways to reduce energy usage and improve affordability.
• Carry out income maximisation checks and complete applications for benefits and grants.
• Act on behalf of clients using appropriate communication channels and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain case records and assist with monitoring and reporting.
• Contribute to training and development of energy project advisers and outreach sessions.
• Support external events and collaboration with partners to meet project targets.
