The National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux is seeking a Community Energy Adviser in New Forest. The role focuses on helping households affected by fuel poverty through outreach in community settings and one-to-one guidance on energy costs and grants.

You will work across mid-Hampshire communities, support vulnerable clients, and contribute to a wider team delivering the Rural Energy Connect project. Training and development for an energy awareness qualification are provided.

Formación

• Experience supporting or advising people facing financial hardship, vulnerability or other life challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and build trust.
• A person-centred approach, helping clients identify practical solutions and achieve positive outcomes.
• Strong organisational and case management skills, able to manage a varied workload and maintain accurate records.
• The ability to work independently across community locations while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
• Good IT, numeracy and administrative skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office and case management systems.
• Experience of energy advice is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.

Responsabilidades

• Provide free, independent and impartial energy advice to households across the New Forest.
• Help clients access grants and support schemes, and improve energy efficiency.
• Conduct home visits, casework support and partner with local organisations.
• Collaborate with the Rural Energy Connect project team to deliver outreach in community venues.
