Job summary

B&Q is seeking a TradeBusiness Development Manager to grow a defined book of TradePoint members across multiple sites including Durham, Bishop Auckland and Consett. You’ll drive demand, manage relationships and convert opportunities into repeat project spend, with a focus on margin and growth.

Location is multi-site with a strong emphasis on field sales, local networking and data-led decision making. A full driving license is required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and growing a trade customer portfolio.
• Ability to generate leads and manage a structured sales pipeline.
• Strong understanding of pricing, margins and discounting.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a defined book of trade members with accountability for sales, margin and repeat spend.
• Prospect and generate high-quality leads weekly through local networking and market insight.
• Build and manage a pipeline from lead to revenue with clear follow-up routines.
• Drive repeat project spend and convert one-off transactions into long-term relationships.
• Negotiate pricing to balance conversion with margin delivery.
• Use data and insights to prioritise high-value opportunities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to unlock growth.
