Job summary

B&Q Limited is seeking a Trade Business Development Manager to drive growth across a portfolio of TradePoint members from multi-site stores in the North East of England. You will generate demand, manage relationships, and convert opportunities into repeat trade spend.

The role emphasizes commercially driven growth, daily pipelines, and collaboration with store and supplier teams to deliver end-to-end trade experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of driving sales growth within Trade.
• Experience managing customer portfolios and building long-term relationships.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with margin awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a defined book of trade members with accountability for sales, margin and repeat spend.
• Generate high-quality trade leads weekly through local networking and market insight.
• Build and manage a structured pipeline from lead to outcome with follow-up routines.
• Drive repeat project spend by converting one-off transactions into long-term relationships.
• Make pricing and discounting decisions balancing conversion with margin.
• Use data on customer behaviour and trade dynamics to prioritise high-value opportunities.
• Partner with B2B where appropriate to unlock growth opportunities.
