Job summary

Howdens Joinery is recruiting a Counter Sales Warehouse Person to be the first point of contact for trade customers on the depot counter and to keep the warehouse organised and accurate for collection or delivery. You’ll build strong customer relationships, explain product solutions, and help drive sales while maintaining stock safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, retail or customer service.
• Forklift licence is desirable.
• Confident communicator with customers.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Sell the full range of products and services.
• Achieve and exceed individual targets.
• Process orders, provide pricing and quotations, manage delivery expectations.
• Generate and follow up on leads to drive sales.
• Support the warehouse to keep the depot running smoothly.
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment per health and safety standards.
• Unload and check incoming stock deliveries.
• Carry out daily forklift checks.
• Maintain stock security on outgoing orders and deliveries.
• Do weekly stock checks and rotate stock.
• Assist deliveries, collections and general warehouse activity.
