Job summary

Howdens is seeking a Counter Sales Warehouse Person to drive sales on the trade counter and keep the depot running smoothly. You will engage with trade customers, advise on products, process orders, and help manage stock and deliveries in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role emphasises customer service, accuracy, and teamwork, with a 40-hour week and no evenings or Sundays. A forklift licence is beneficial and training is provided in a supportive, well-established business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales, retail or customer service environment.
• Motivated by driving sales and delivering excellent customer service.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced workload with accuracy.
• Confident communicator who builds strong relationships.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management

Responsibilities

• Selling the full range of products and services.
• Achieving and exceeding individual targets while supporting depot performance.
• Processing orders, providing pricing and quotations, and managing delivery expectations.
• Generating and following up on leads to drive sales.
• Supporting the warehouse to keep the depot running smoothly.
