Job summary

Howdens Joinery is looking for a Counter Sales Warehouse Person to be the first point of contact for trade customers on the depot floor. You will build relationships, advise on products, and ensure stock is safe, accurate and ready for collection or delivery.

This hands-on, fast-paced role offers a competitive salary, development opportunities, a generous pension, and a 40-hour week with no evenings or Sundays. You’ll join a busy depot that values teamwork and on-time service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales, retail or customer service environment.
• Confident and friendly communicator who builds strong customer relationships.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with stock and records.

Responsibilities

• Sell the full range of products and services.
• Achieve and exceed individual targets while supporting depot performance.
• Process orders, provide pricing and quotations, and manage delivery expectations.
• Generate and follow up on leads to drive sales.
• Support the warehouse to keep the depot running smoothly.
