Job summary

Plumb Centre in Kidderminster is seeking a Sales Assistant to help customers on the trade counter, advise on products and drive branch sales. The role requires a proactive, customer-focused approach and a willingness to learn.

You will also handle enquiries by phone and email, perform some warehouse duties, and work a 40-hour week Mon-Fri with alternating Saturday mornings. Plumbing knowledge is ideal, and a bonus scheme and benefits are described in the advert.

Qualifications

• Previous face-to-face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.
• Plumbing & heating knowledge is ideal.
• Able to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Team player who supports all areas to keep the branch running.
• Eager to learn with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter with product recommendations.
• Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Make outbound calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to drive sales within the branch.
• General warehouse duties including stock booking, putting away, picking and packing orders (heavy stock).
• Full-time role; 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri 07:30–16:30 with alternate Sat 08:00–12:00.
