Job summary

Wolseley’s Plumb Centre in Redruth (TR15 3RR) is seeking a Sales Assistant to help customers at the trade counter, advise on products and build relationships with customers and suppliers.

You will handle phone and email enquiries, support in all branch activities, assist with warehouse duties, and help drive deliveries when needed. This full-time role offers a 40-hour week with occasional overtime on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
• Hands-on approach, ability to work as part of a small team.
• Eagerness to learn with a positive attitude.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Dealing with customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Providing excellent service, establishing strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
• Proactively seeking opportunities to grow sales within the branch, working with both existing and new customers
• Completing general warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders (which will involve some heavy lifting), organising deliveries and merchandising displays to a high standard
• Driving delivery Vehicle and completing customer orders.
