Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Sales Assistant in Stoke. You will assist trade customers, advise on products, and handle enquiries by phone and email with a positive attitude. The role includes warehouse duties, merchandising, and occasional 3.5t van deliveries when needed.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday 8am–5pm, with one Saturday per month (overtime). Benefits and a competitive salary apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position.
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Willingness to learn with an enthusiastic approach.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.
• Relief driving 3.5t van for deliveries when the driver is on holiday
