Job summary

Livingston branch is seeking an Internal Sales & Trade Counter professional to join their team. You’ll support both trade and retail customers on a daily basis, work at the trade counter, handle enquiries, process orders and quotations, and help customers find the right products while identifying opportunities to grow sales.

Qualifications

• Experience in a builders' merchant, trade counter or construction supply environment.
• Experience in an internal sales, trade counter or customer-facing sales role.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Confident dealing with both trade and retail customers.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider branch team.
• Knowledge of construction materials or merchanting would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, our client, a leading distributor within the construction materials sector, is looking to recruit an Internal Sales & Trade Counter professional to join their established branch in Livingston.

This is a varied, customer-facing role where you'll be supporting both trade and retail customers on a daily basis. You'll be working on the trade counter, handling enquiries, processing orders and quotations, and helping customers find the right products, while also identifying opportunities to generate additional sales.

Although there is an element of account management and proactive customer contact, the role is primarily branch-based and would suit someone who enjoys dealing with customers face-to-face in a busy merchant environment.
