Job summary

Formula 1 in the United Kingdom seeks a Track Systems Technician to support installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the Standard Communication System delivering telemetry, onboard video, and car data.

You will work with the Track Systems Engineering Manager, perform high-level RF, fibre, cable work, testing and fault finding, and contribute to safe event operations across Grand Prix venues. This is a hands-on technical role requiring safety and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hands-on technical manual role such as installation, rigging, outside broadcast or similar environments.
• Experience working in fast-paced, safety-critical settings.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions.
• Willingness to perform at heights and heavy lifting when required.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, commissioning, operation and decommissioning of RF installations during events.
• Install and test fibre-optic and electrical cabling and RF equipment.
• Operate tools and measurement equipment and log race/test sessions.
• Maintain and repair fibre optic cables and RF gear while following safety procedures.
